There is an empty plot of land in dapto where a hospital is supposed to be built soon. I personally know the doctor who is developing the project and have seen a lot of the back ground work being put in as more investors are coming on board. I have very limited knowledge on property but would the construction of a massive hospital mean that there will be an increased in demand in property and increase in population as full time staff start to move to the illawarra area? Doctors, surgeons, nurses and other various medical professions and IT technicans would be among the people required to operate the hospital. Here are a few articles albeit not recent. Im not overly familar with the area but yes I would expect so. I think French's Forest in Sydney was a recent example.
My brother and his family have struggled for months to get a rental in this area. 20+ applicants on some places.
