Retiring doesn't necessarily mean you're sitting at home twiddling your thumbs or at the RSL club miggling with the senior citizens. For me, it means untieing the shackles of having to go to a 9-5 job each day, and having the freedom to pursue your passions.

Put on a suit and go to the office? No thanks. I'd rather play footy with my kids and teach them about black holes. I'd rather take them to explore the national parks and snow capped mountains in Canada. I'd rather go to Germany and run the Berlin Marathon.

Tap your imagination and pursue your passions.
Or... if you love it so much... keep grinding away at a 9-5 job.

We're a way off retirement yet but that aligns with my thinking.
