If US interest rates rise what happens to ours

    Hi,
    Am weighing up pros n cons of fixing a small loan.
    I know our rates are not predicted to rise for a few years.
    But what if the US economy tanks, has growing inflation, and their rates rise.
    What impact will this have on our interest rates?
