    Hi all,

Could someone please help me understand what the following cracks below are, and whether they are something I should be concerned about?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's a horizontal crack in what would be an older building, what's at the other end of the blade wall? The crack is along a brick bed joint & regular.

Where in the building is this wall? ie ground, top floor, level 5 etc.

Of just as much concern, the front door isn't a fire door or possibly of solid construction (requirements would need to be properly assessed for egress and security).

The other end is the corner of the room, on the other side is an exterior balcony.

It is on the top floor of a 2 story building. Does this look serious enough to warrant a structural engineer to inspect now, or should I wait a year or so to see if there is further movement?

Thank you for the info so far, and agree - it is on the to do list

Just monitor the situation, it's horizontal, not displaced & you can't see daylight through it.
