I have started to show symptoms to Covid19 so went through the health dept online test and it said get tested. I then rang up the test centre and went through some more questions and they booked me in straight away.

They shove a very long cotton bud up each nostril - which is very uncomfortable and makes you tear up - and that was it.

They will ring me with the results, in the meantime I will continue my solitary confinement.

Hope you're ok Terry. Did they indicate the wait time for results?

Could be 12 hrs to 2 days, but they are prioritising the testing aparently.

Hope you're negative Terry. Do you have any idea who you caught it from, are you seeing clients f2f?

I think I got it on the plane. Lots of snotty nosed passengers touching things - 11 days ago.
I don't see clients face to face generally, but did a few meetings more than a month ago.

What he's caught may not be Covid-19.

Didn't Terry just recently return from overseas? This may be one of the reasons he was allowed to be tested.

Does it feel any worse than flus you've had in past? Of course, it may not even be C19 but asking nonetheless.

Did you check your flight details on here (assuming you're in NSW)?

Was it painful or just unpleasant?

Ooh ok. Better play it safe whatever it is.

I'd check myself into hospital if its positive (if you have any respiratory issues whatsoever). The prelim treatment they have apparently works best if its administered early.

Just unpleasant I guess. I can still feel the sensation 2 hours later though. Eyes water up big time on the first nostril, and then you know the feeling and they have to do it again!

I hate sinusy stuff, I hope I don't have to be tested at any point.
