With having netflix i have decided to give Foxtel away, now i can choose a movie and watch at the time i want.
i use to like Foxtel Money and real estate show but even that turned into more advertorial than information.
Now I have Foxtel constantly calling me offering better deals.

What about sports? It's the only reason I keep foxtel around.

What about the pawnshops shows ? Mushie won't be impressed that you're not researching the business.

I am nearly there, gave away on $145 pm plan, tweaked it and now just have doco an entertainment and Netflix at $46 pm. Foxtel movies are shocking, limited choice and movies on a whole would give them 2 out of 10, most are so bad

Netflix all the way. Never had Foxtel, ever. So have nothing to compare Netflix with. But I never seem to have enough spare time for Foxtel.

My son had Foxtel connected when he lived with us an he paid for it. We watched it a few times but it was mostly just rubbish. Not only did we not continue with Foxtel, but I also got up on the roof and pulled down their stinkin' dish because it was blocking the sun at times from some of my solar panels and costing me energy production!

I have Foxtel solely for the football (EPL, A-League and FFA Cup).

I've watched less and less EPL over the last couple of years, to the point where I can't justify $70 a month. I rang to cancel, and they reduced it to $25 a month for the next six months by removing sports (during the off-season), and as a bonus threw in the movie channels.

Not a bad outcome! And when the six months is up, I'll likely cancel anyway.

I basically dont watch tv cause while some shows are fine and educational, you tend to leave the tv on after the programme you just watched and spend the whole evening watching it, and a lot of the content is mindless rubbish.
So I don't turn it on in the first place. So I have no idea about new tv shows, and that suits me just fine.

10 years ago, when I moved to Sydney, I didn't bring a TV with me.

One of the best decisions of my life.

Its like time travel. Watching all the country men getting excited about Netflix. Used to pay like $5 bucks a month for it and still thought I was over paying

I'm about to get foxtel...am currently going through EPL withdrawal syndromes in the offseason. Weekends aren't the same during offseason.

Love the EPL - so my willingness to pay for foxtel is well beyond the price they charge (given flying around the world isn't an option!). I think much of the consumer base will be sport lovers going forward - they're being priced out by competitors on the others.

I'd be happy paying just for it and nothing else...maybe foxsportsnews!

We have foxtel and would miss it terribly BUT I wish we would just pay for each channel that we want and not have set bundles. At one time (years ago) I wanted to add the History channel but it came with other channels we weren't ever going to watch and cost a lot, just for one channel.

I hope with all the other choices available now they will review this before they lose customers due to their inflexible bundling of crap in with non-crap - and allow the customer to tailor the package to suit.

I connected Foxtel 6 months ago and wish I hadn't. Absolute rubbish. I'm locked into a 12 month plan so just waiting until November this year before I can turn it off. Worst $500 I ever spent. :D

I've never had Foxtel due to their pricing structure and might have considered paying for JUST the sports channels too - but they just won't let you of course :(
So instead I have to watch live sport via crap quality pirate streams instead (when I get the urge).

When will they ever learn

Can you not stream it via VPN from a decent overseas source?
