    ++1 for Uber - have been using the last few months month in Sydney from trips from city to home after late work nights. Used to queue at taxi rank near Town hall and wait for ages - now its minutes and experience is so much better. The best part for both driver and passenger is that it is cashless - charged by paypal - so no worrying about having to have cash on hand or your card details getting skimmed...

    Also way cheaper - a $50 cab fare is now $25-$30 depending on traffic. That said surge pricing you need to be wary of

    yeah uber is great, im about to clock over the 100 ride mark.
