    all aboard the hype train.
My prediction - from now to 2020, 8% jump each yr. That brings your average 350k property to 475k.

This development has now broken ground and is full steam ahead.

PubTIC - Everything that makes pubs tick!

The $45 million Eatons Hill Village has now begun construction, and Comiskey says they are aiming for a launch mid-2017, with anchor tenant Woolworths hoping for a June opening.

As well as a supermarket, the complex will offer six restaurants, 15 retail stores, a 300 m² gym, a large heated swimming pool, more function spaces and 88 4.5-star motel rooms

Did a general bit of promo for the area on radio last Saturday. It was in relation to talking about Brisbane's Satellite centres and surrounding local authorities.

My townhouse is on top of a cliff. Five minutes walk to the restaurants.

Thanks for the responses Angel, appreciate your insights.

I know that if I lived in Brisbane and worked in the city, I would definitely not live in an area that did not have a rail line, no matter how nice the suburb may be. The commute to work and back would drive me crazy!

The new rail line is definitely a big boost to the peninsula, shame it doesn't go a bit further than Kippa-Ring.

Was speaking to a work colleague today who mentioned a friend of his had only just recently managed to sell his investment unit in Deception Bay at a loss. Had been on the market for well over a year!

I'm not sure whether there was any issues with the unit, but I'm guessing investment apartments/units not close to the CBD are generally a no-no in Brisbane?

I personally wouldn't buy an apartment for IP.

I doubt you will see 8% cagr till 2020.
on average till 2020, I think it will be more like 4%.
The 8% cagr till 2020 averaged out will be for BCC.

Too many units and townhouses were sold in Deception Bay to interstate investors at inflated prices. It was (still is?) rife with marketeers. Wouldn't touch attached housing there.

Eatons Hill Village. An inner city Feel.

Forget Redcliffe - I'm hyping Eatons Hill from now on.

The only thing they left out is a cinema.

All the little beaches are in between headlands, and these headlands have rocks and cliffs. The ones Captain Cook named from out at sea were dark red, hence the name.

Various locations are elevated, such as Scott's Point, Woody Point and um, Redcliffe. My place is between Queen's Beach and Scarborough Beach, between Donkin St and Kennedy Espl.

To be honest just drove around Redcliffe, Scarborough, Kippa Ring etc, looked at various places, I did not notice anything like Many, but did not go right round coast, thanks for the info as plan going back up there soon and will have a better look.

You will have to follow the tourist drive. Turn off the road and go into the parks too. I meant that eh houses at Shorncliffe are like at Manly. The northern end of the Bay has not developed as much as Manly has, so we have room for lots more growth to come.

    Will check it out.

How does everyone feel Deception bay, near bay and shops, will fit in and travel along ?

How is the area with the larger 3000sq blocks considered, seems bit too far from teh water for a Sydneysider.

Have even looked at moving to area, inspected a nice place on canal we liked, got beaten to it, so even they are moving.
