I keep getting this junk mail in my letterbox from areas where my investment properties are - advertising for selling agents and PM.

It really, really ANNOYS me. How did they find out my home address and how can i get this to stop happening both now and in the future on future IP's I will buy....

RP data. They stalk you. Maybe buy in a trust?

Classic example - MICM. Unsubscribe process seems to just generate more spam emails.

Why does RP Data have to include owners contact details? Surely this is going too far.

I get them all the time,it's the wording in the letter head most times it starts with "the investors"',if they use your name then it can become a problem ,but you can use the updates to keep in tune with what's happening in your area, which will help you or just go in and tell them to stop..

It doesn't in most states. Pretty sure only queensland has owner addresses. WA and NSW has owner names. I think the other states have nothing at all.
    He's not talking about emails.

I received a market rent comparative analysis from a pm in Brisbane last year, I think it was from RP Data and the property information included a name and phone number? If I can find it, I'll post it minus these details. I was surprised how much information was listed.

Yes, but when that information is used for cold calling it's a PITA.
Better now that there is a Do not call register.

Yeah title search works everywhere of course, but that costs money.
Rp Data doesn't give owner names in SA nor in a couple of other states. Damn nanny state. :p

Ha ha .... title search is worth it though....gives you everything you need. I do 50 a week in the business and of course, my off market purchases come through there.....the stalking begins...

    Cheers Ivan

Stick a "RETURN TO SENDER" onto a VN rolling shell, address it to RPData and park it outside auspost at westfield
