Hi Sackie, how much did it cost to set up the by-law? I’m interested in doing some things around my place.. but last time I went down this route, the cost of the by-law was 3X more than the actual project (which turned me off). Thinking of re-visiting my original plans.

The by-law it's self I got for free (but usually costs a few hundred to get drawn up) and then when strata registered it, it cost $440.

What’s under the tiles, a slab? Why waterproof, are all external tiled patios waterproofed? I’m about to do 90m in Queensland existing isn’t waterproofed.

Any tilers on here that can advise what to do with existing termite barrier in this situation?
Also remove tile or tile over tile?

Yes slab. Strata required it waterproofed. Without it, could potentially lead to issues in future. Its a small cost and I didn't want to waste time arguing with strata. They required it so I did it.

The balcony looks bigger. Are you going with light coloured tiles? I think that is why it looks so much larger.

These tiles. White frame sliding door which opens 2 panels, not one like the old door so it should feel bigger. Painting internal, changed appliances to Bosch and then....hitting the market:)

Hey! You try getting workers to come to north Bondi lol. It's not that easy atm but getting there. Also was raining last week so couldn't waterproof.

Waterproofing tomorrow, and tiling Monday. :)

This morning I rang a painter, Mr Wong to get a quote. When he heard 'in Bondi' he said "ahhh....mmm..err.....give me call, 2 weeks".
