    Hi,

I am considering buying a top level unit and in one of them I can a car dealership in front of the building and in the other one there is a couple of houses. What I am trying to figure out is how do I know another building won't show up a couple of years later in front of the one I've bought? That would reduce privacy and decrease the value of my unit.

Is there a website we can easily see if there is a development approval in there?

    Thanks

Even if there is something planned and visible now, it won't help you if someone lodges a development approval in a year's time.

I know in Brisbane I can subscribe to see what developments have been lodged and they pop into my inbox. I'm guessing NSW may have this service too?

Unless the view is completely unable to be lost, I'd always assume it might be lost one day.

Check the zoning, permissible uses, height restrictions, applicable building envelope etc of the adjoining blocks.
