    Hi all,

What's the best way to find out who manages a rental property?

A mate is having some issues with their neighbours trees. They're quite big, and twice now have had big branches fallen on his roof and do damage.

They've tried speaking to the neighbours but the elderly gentleman that's always seen is NESB.

It's definately managed as they've seen the agent come by before doing an inspection, but haven't been able to speak to them since. Unsure on which agency.

It's been rented since forever by the same people.

    Thanks

An RP Data report will show you the transaction history of the property, including when it was advertised for rent. This sometimes includes managing agent information.

Thanks Peter, we did try that first, however it doesn't have any of the normal information for it. It doesn't even show it as ever being rented! And we know for sure its not personally managed by the owner.

I'm doing a mass ring around of all local agents. 22 calls so far, no luck and a couple have said the same re RPData not containing the info.

Are the branches coming over your mate's prop?

I thought you can go forth and cut to your heart's content (assuming it is not protected)

We've managed to find the agent. We spoke to another agent who initially managed it and gave the details of the new agent. So, he's in contact with them now.

@The Y-man - the trees are massive and the branches keep falling down breaking stuff. Has cost him a good $800 to fix so far, without complaint, and has forever been cutting down what we can reach with an extension saw.
Since the winds last night, hes got another 100kg worth of tree branches etc in his yard and is over it. He's chucking it all over the fence this time!

Good that you've tracked them down.

I was going to suggest googling the property address for rent, usually an old ad crops on on RE or Domain if it's been let withing the last several years too.

Yep, nothing on either. Last piece of information on both of those was that it was sold in 2003. Nothing further.
