    Hi,

Interested in this empty block of land.

How can I find out owners name and contact details ?

The land title will give me name of owner but not contact details.

I dont think Council will release details.

Neighbours dont know who owns it.

    ????????

Then it's down to detective work. White pages, FB, insta, pipl.com, births/deaths/marriages, google, Hitmen 'r' Us etc.

Thought there was a quicker way but looks like I need to do some detective work.

Go here - put in property details (you'll need to log in as a guest)
If the owner is a company, you'll then need to do a company search (ASIC)

Different states allow different levels of access to the personal details of property owners. Vic is very restrictive compared to some other states.

Rp data in vic does have an ad-on to get the personal details of owners, but i think its about $300 a month (free for registered re agents), and im not sure if it gives whats on the title, or extra info such as phone numbers/personal address etc

@AnneC - if you find a method outside of a title search please let me know on here or pm.

Title gave me name and address but no phone number. Will see how I go with writing a letter.

I'm searching for owner contact details for a QLD property. QLD Title search only seems to provide a name (unless I'm missing something). Is there an easy way I can search for this?

Yeah I did read the thread, thanks for that though. Rpdata and detective work. I was hoping for easier and thought there might be something else for qld property that someone helpful might have come across.

I just ran a title search and it came up with a comany name. No problem. I jumped onto the ABN website and this is not a valid current or former business name.

    Hmm...

    Any other recommendations?

Could even be as a trustee and its never been corrected. A full historical ACN search may indicate Directors etc. May be out of date too and hard to locate. ABN may not be required - ATO cancels heaps. Esp trustee companies. They dont have a lawful right in many cases to hold a ABN. Company deregistered or not ?

Consider commencing the process for a future claim for adverse possession :;)

No, you need more than squatting. Must pay outgoing and maintain the place for a significant period before making a claim. (NSW 12 years) Varies by state.

Not unusual, thanks for clarifying why it comes back as no ABN as I suspected.
