How to find easement/sewer for potential property

    Hi

    Stupid question - I am looking for several properties (Syd/Mel) with potential to develop sometime down in the future.

    In order to prevent buying the wrong property, I understand I need to check the easements / plumbing pipelines and if they run through the property.

    Now, how exactly would I be able to check this in Sydney / Mel? Is there a website I can check the diagrams? Could anyone point me the right direction?

    Get the contract. The site plan and sewerage diagrams will be there.

    You can get water and sewer plans through the local Water Authority (eg Melbourne Water, Yarra Water etc) Go to the web site, you may need to register (free) and then search for the property - the water and sewer info will be available there. Always good to do this as sometimes the sewer is not in the easement!

    only major assets will be shown (indicatively)
    for sewer see Diagrams & prints

    for easements refer to the current property title and deposited plan.
