how strict is the frontage requirement for CDC

    Hi all,


    I have a lot with 14.7m frontage and >650m2 size in Sydney. It only has one side facing the street. It is damn unlucky that it is only 2% short to the frontage requirement for dual occupancy.


    I have contacted the council regarding this and still in progress with them. I just wondering if I have more chance with CDC. Has anyone dealt with CDC under similar situation? Any comments are much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

    I faced the same situation, spoke to council and its a simple no. Due to feaso at the time, I ended up pursuing a granny flat build which worked out well for me to date. Potentially you can look into buying that shortage from your neighbour. Good luck though, and im keen to know how you go as well
