I'm curious about the habits of investors.

How many books do you read?

Pick the answer that best suits and feel free to elaborate.

Books (print and electronic) and audiobooks count.

Good Thread Steven. I try to read one a fortnight, but find that I don't always make it. I spend more time on the net reading shorter articles.

Probably a book worth of articles & blogs online each week or two, but very rarely a paper (or e) book.

I've been devouring about one non-fiction book a week for the past 18-24 months. I aim to maintain this. 85% are audiobooks (during commutes, long walks, housework etc) and the rest, paperback or eBook.

Prior to that it was probably one every fortnight.

I gain a lot from reading so the more I do, the better life gets.

I never read fiction - because it is not true! Non fiction is so much more interesting and they build knowledge.

Audiobooks are great as you can listen while walking, cleaning or gardening etc. But it is difficult to take notes while doing this.

It depends. Sometimes I'm constantly reading on the train during the commute, and get through quite a few books in a short time. Sometimes I seem to read shorter articles in magazines or online research. I voted 1/mth averaged out I guess but I think it's a lot more than 12/year. I'll have to check my bookshelf and library account

    Not much and not enough.
In the past 10 years, probably only one a year on average.
Don't know why I don't read more books because I always feel so motivated from them.
Probably time is the biggest reason.

Hardly ever. I read a book on a cruise recently while the kids were in kids club but otherwise my reading includes PC, a quick scan on the weekend papers and the occasional link on FB.

I really enjoy reading but any time to myself is usually just sleeping. Hopefully once the kids are older I can crack out books again.

I read in stops and starts, depending how busy I am, probably average four a year.

I read lots of articles online, in magazines and papers etc. I don't count those, or audio books.

Lots, but not much non-fiction. I am afraid I prefer to live in a fantasy world!

Probably about a book a fortnight for me. I love reading and like Terry rarely read fiction. It used to be more but time is the issue now - no commute for me so the only time I read is before sleeping.

Since having kids I've barely read anything. Previous job involved 2+ hour commute so could churn through lots.

I download Inferno by Dan Brown so going to make a better effort.

There was some theory if you read every day you would double your income every 7 years.
