Isn’t there some kind of govt subsidy to go LED?

Nah, I’d never give up till I changed that darn globe.

That might be longer term answer, we like fans too so fan/light combo could be best.

    Very strategic 10th reply.

Judges accepted 9 on the basis that the duplicate response was detailed, not a direct copy and genuinely responded by a separate entity ( judgy language for 'someone else said same thing ' ).

So, a call was made to the seller, who said pull it real hard. And hung up. Then I went in to the shop with pic, and shop man said ..... 'oh that is the nimbus 500' or some such thing.

Then he explained the whole spring loaded thing, he also said what @standtall said. It worked.

Prize also to @wylie for suggesting replacement.....prize is a luxury tour one way from loganlea station to the hyperdome on a luxury bus, at 5.45, or 6pm, or 6.15 ...... u get my drift.

The globe is a ring globe, it has a LED feel about it, lasted approximately 3 years though, so i think that is not LED. DOn't they last a little longer than that?

Not sure if this is response 14 or not. Can anyone decide for me?

If it's a ring fluoro, it'd last about 3 yrs between visits to your proctologist. :p

This light sounds like a PITA.

I need some help with the medical terminology....where is @See Change when u need him.

Google says PITA is bread, though there 8s a proctologist called Pita.

Should I shove some bread up my arse before changing a ring lightbulb?

    This post has been enlightening

Did you pay a monkey to do the job or you are the monkey that is trying to do this by yourself?

    You should go.

Translink cards don't work in Logan, loganlea to hyperdome anyway. I was allowed to go first time, but second time had to pay with real cash.
