    eftpost in australia is the best example of the business model that uber/netflix etc is having.

    you dominate the market, charge zero fee give merchant benefit.

    ones everyone adopts it.. you start increasing fees for usage and now no merchant can consider starting a business without it.

    most people in the public dont know that eftpos and credit card cost fees.. for them its just a simple tab and forget.. its not their problem its the merchant.
