In regional areas in the current market.
And what are the pros and cons of the time limits.

Usually it's not a choice. You get the offer you want, or are likely to get, and you sell. Or you withdraw if you don't like the offers you are getting. Generally no benefit to having a stale listing.

Very general 'rule', because it will depend on a few factors.

Within 14 days - oh happy days! Chek- ching!

Within 30 days - great. You likely (not always) achieved a result your happy with.

Within 60 days - you struggled but got over the line to sell maybe not quite at the price you wanted or you got your 1 buyer to pay up.

Within 90 days - you decided to listen to the agent and grab whatever offer came you could begrudgingly live with.

    Within 120 days - Ouch l!

When listing a property to sell, generally (and most commonly) a marketing campaign should be for about a 3-4 week period.

I think it depends on the area. If in the City, then follow @Sackie. But if you are talking regional, then it can take longer, especially in a slow market.
