Have been working on plans today to split our workforce between office and home effective Tuesday.

A lot of our work is for clients that are consumer or business capex facing. Already things have been looking weak in recent weeks and I can see that going off a cliff very quickly....highly predictable.

Concerned about how our Manila team (business critical for us) is going to operate with Metro Manila shutting down. Hopefully up and running at home in a couple of days.

Will be making decisions on redundancies and other “hard talk” cost out initiatives this week.

Oh, and sore throat, cough, no fever ! Should be a ripper week

At least you grow some of your own food. Eating healthily can be expensive.

Total lockdown here of city and entire country from 8am Monday. Everything closed except pharmacies, places that sell groceries and petrol stations. No-one allowed to leave their home unless to get essential items from supermarket or pharmacy, to help someone, or travel to an essential workplace. No children allowed outside. Police and Civil Guard will enforce, and government will take control of many businesses that deliver/produce essential items. Rationing on some items. Military reserves may be deployed where needed.

So it is going to be an interesting few weeks stuck at home, yesterday could feel the tension, the streets were quiet, much fewer people out and no children. Have been impressed with the Spanish people's response, no panic, & last night at 10 everyone stood on their balconies clapping for the health workers.
I will take a long walk today since illegal from tomorrow.

Thank goodness no one. She's been out of state for awhile. I'll know more after her test.

My Voluntary Redundancy occurs on July 1st - also wishing it was earlier too for similar reasons.

Well that didn´t work .. police car busted me walking and told me to go home and stay indoors, apparently total quarantine started today (thought it was Monday 8am but it changed). The empty city, this is like some sort of strange movie.

Teen's friend flew back from Ireland early Monday morning (boarding school closed) - now in isolation for 2 weeks. So close yet so far.

School's principal's secretary expecting the school of 1,200 kids to be closed by Thursday.
