That's obvious to me but not everybody. Not everyone has your embedded cultural understanding.
Thus the existence of this thread.

I used to mow my Grandma's lawn. Really enjoyed it. I went around one day to mow and it had already been done - she got the lawn mower man in. I asked her why and she said she didn't want to burden me with it where in actual fact she took away something I enjoyed! Anyway, I happily resumed my position as lawnmower lady a week later.

WOW I simply answer a question from the OP about my experience with a similar tenant situation and you jump to the conclusion I think women don't/can't mow lawns!

All this because I said "their boyfriends do the lawns"

I did by no means say anywhere in that post that women don't do lawns in this country. I simply stated a fact about just 1 of my IP's that currently has all girls in it.

    a) I self manage so I do inspections, maintenance and chat to them.
    b) They tell me their BF's do it
    c) BF's are usually men
    d) See answer b

It wasn't always that way, another girl who lived there did the lawns and owned her own mower. When she vacated the mower went with her, hence the current situation of the BF's helping out.

I didn't say it was normal or common.
    Sorry for stating a fact.

I agree lots of women do lawns, my girlfriend and sister do.

I would appreciate if you didn't make accusations of stalking and sexism.

Thank you for the fuller version of the story.
Not accusing you specifically, though I can see that it would look that way. You answered the questions well though a little dramaticaly.
    Reads as more realistic. Cheers.

Sorry Stoffo but it was already a gender issue - not my doing and so far no psychos have chipped in so all good, eh?

I have 3 46xx Uni students renting. Mum pays the rent and is guarantor. The excess boyfriends take up space.. they don't report maintenance issues, and take an age to do regular 'clean ups.'
The agent encouraged me to choose them.
Because of the good payment record I keep them.
I find it best to be 'arms length'
    I hope this helps

I just asked others' experience if they were in the same situation. Of course, not every case is the same. :) Cheers

I assume your house well looks something like the one in my village. Tenants have to work for their water. Will they require @datto to carry the bucket?

I don't know how you can think that the girls will keep it when they leave.

    All good.
I took it as directed at me due to the fact you quoted me. I hit back a bit dramatically, yes.
    Cheers
