my current boarder works long hours ,7am to 10pm 7 days its work plus bed etc.

today he came home from work early about 4pm instead of after 10pm feeling tired and sick but in reality after deep questioning he was actually bored with life.

after talking about how he would like to learn scuba diving etc suddenly he becomes more alert?
i motivated him to look up scuba schools and all of a sudden he has energy.

do u ever feel that way?

my job also isnt exciting but i enjoy going to work and basically doing nothing but surfing the net .

do u think he needs a outside thing?

what do u do outside work?

watching motivational speakers such as GARY VAYNERCHUK they dont believe in that and say you should be working 6am to midnight everyday otherwise your weak.

there is a guy on here who works 2 or 3 jobs to save for IP'S ,how long can u do that for before breaking?

do you really need a outside distraction from life or work?

That sounds like a terrible way to live.

Each to their own I suppose.

    Cheers

My life is too exciting. I would love a break. My current project is tiling at a build, inspecting the build and letting the builder know what they have done wrong now and posting pictures of the build to friends and family and PC of course. In between that I have a busy but stressful job that I love.

I literally have no time to be bored.

I get home, say hi to the dogs, move the horses back to their yards, feed water and groom. Then dogs come inside for dinner and some chillout time.

On the weekend I work with the horses on ground work, I have started liberty work and they are enjoying that. This weekend Sarge starts at the trainer, and then riding instructor for me sunday.

Then theres open homes, research, client discussions, renovations... all keeps things interesting.

I cant think of anything more boring than being a wage slave public servant going to sit in my cubicle all day browsing the internet to kill time until I can get my retirement pension in 30 years. Thats not living its a prison for the dull.

I have known people (some friends) who have become consumed by WORK! and due to this have suffered relationship issues, health issues and in general a deteriorating quality of life.
Everybody needs at times to kick back and smell the roses. Life can throw up many challenges.
The old saying that a change is as good as a holiday comes to mind.
Sometimes focusing on something from left field is all that's required to recharge the internal batteries and keep life exciting.

    Cheers.

    Buy more IPs.

Don't you get that immense sense of pride when you walk into your new IP and get it ready for rental?

Pretty simple really. I got rid of the activities that were sucking the life out of me and replaced them with activities that light my fire.

At the moment, I'm fostering kittens. You can't get bored when you've got 9 x 6wk old kittens scampering around the house, causing mischief.

Nothing atm - with endless runs of near 40 days, it's too hot to do anything and feel like I'm just marking time since Christmas ... I'm sure that'll change within a week or two/

Did set junior the challenge today to learn this one on both her electric guitar and drums ... she's doing pretty awesome so far:

I do scuba dive. It's very relaxing and helps put you in the moment. The challenge is often finding others to do it with.

Took up archery a few months ago. Very focusing. I've found ways to do it almost every day.
