One thing we noticed during our lockdown (complete with curfew) was just the silence at night - it was like being out in the country on a holiday.

We live near a park (of sorts)
A guy was out "walkng" his two pythons the othere day
I'd say they were more sunning themselves
But each were near 2 meters long and heading in different directions
I thought about going for a walk with a shovel :p (except he had an audience)

Of greater importance @geoffw it has to be questioned why being out and about riding a unicycle is considered essential during lockdown when it can be done, I assume, in the privacy of a backyard or as part of taking the washing to the laundry.

Time to point the finger of blame.

Outdoor exercise is permitted in your LGA or within 10km from home, with no more than 1 other person. Some people don’t have yards. Exercise is needed for mental and physical health. A 10km radius and LGA is pretty generous though IMO.

if I didn’t go out and do that, I’d probably end up on the couch all day. Not good.

I’m seeing a lot of people hanging around outside cafes in beach side suburbs socialising and drinking their coffees. Not a single police officer in sight issuing fines. Not sure going out for a coffee should be considered as essential.
I’ll go hide now before the PC coffee crew come for me. :p

Yep. Despite being a coffee addict myself, it's not justifiable in the circumstances. You were out to get some exercise I assume otherwise....?

Yes sir I was Going for a walk / walking the dog.
Walk ways near the beach are packed. I get the whole exercise, walking along the water front thing. But the amount of people standing / sitting around socialising is ridiculous.
I can understand why people in western Sydney feel like they are being picked on. Not a police officer insight near the coasts.

Yep! And yet they have a whole street packed with police cars in one of the suburbs. Oh, sorry, you can't catch it if you leave in a beach side suburb.

The virus doesn’t spread via the fresh ocean air that we breath in near the coast. :D

Seeing I can't attend aerial or pole classes atm and it appears this lockdown won't be over for a while, I am thinking of enrolling in online language courses... maybe Auslan....

Auslan is the least spoken language in the world.
