    Seeing as I don't know what grind means in this context, yes!

    My niece recently told my mum that she is too old to use lol in an sms.

    Grind is a skateboard term. Skateboarders often refer to themselves as 'skaters'. Real skaters wear roller skates. I was waiting for some of the Sydney-ites to make a smart comment.

    when I was on a student exchange living in the bush in Costa Rica 22 years ago they called me white cat (gato blanco).

    Everyone had a nickname in the village. There was 'Mare Killer' (matajaguas), 'White Dog' (perroblanco), 'Golden Toad'(sapo de oro), 'Michael Donkey' (Miguel Burro), 'Pink Panther' (pantera rosa), 'Toad Eyes' (ojos de sapo), 'Rubber Legs' (pata de hule), 'Tied up Hen' (pollo maniado), 'The wasp' (la vispa), 'Horse hair' (pelo de caballo).
    I think I struck it lucky with 'white cat'.
    Until they started calling me 'long balls' (huevos largos) instead after my host brother saw me getting undressed. Now some still call me white cat and others call me long balls when we catch up on social media.

    Ahem. Real skaters wear sneakers whilst riding their skateboards.

    When I started on SS I was L.A. Aussie, because we were living there at the time, but were planning on returning to Aus to build a house with bay views.

    Then we did return, and built the house, and so the name was changed to reflect the situation of the time.

    I've been a gambler ever since primary school.
    Throughout the years I'd like to think I've become quite skilled at playing the odds.

    Ace in the Hole definition, (one variation):
    A hidden advantage or resource kept in reserve until needed.

    My first foray into forums was a fishing forum. Being devoid of imagination I realled a story where George Bernard Shaw claimed that the word fish could be spelled "ghoti."

    gh = /f/ as in enough. o = /i/ as in women. ti= /sh/ as in nation

    And Ive used it ever since!!

    I am not going to publish on a public forum what the current number is.

    It is all part of my strategy to build up my Net Worth and it is still work-in-progress (even though I am retired from employment).

    Once I reach my financial goals, I might write a book on how to implement my strategy (and make some beer money on the side) so all males can enjoy the same success.
