I looked at an ad for 3 bedroom brick house in poatina Tas. 150,000
It is freehold on a strata title.
The organisation that owns the strata is a Christian organisation.
It sounded like a lovely community helping people and creating a wonderful place to live.
When I went to see it I was met with houses with broken down vehicles strewn around, unkempt properties although the one for sale is neat tidy.
Empty community pool, run down village.
I then looked at the contract and on it, if the organisation or anyone in it does not like the buyer once they ve purchased, the organisation can order them to sell or sell it themselves, and do a valuation using their chosen valuer to sell it at the chosen value themselves.
And the REA did not know about that.

Praying hard doesn't stop your property from falling apart. I know, I've tried!
