Have been warned against purchasing Mediterranean- or Spanish- style homes and 1950s Contemporary style homes in Adelaide due to limited resale and rental appeal. Is there any truth to this? Are these properties something to avoid?

They may present some good buying opportunities if you're prepared to put on a more desirable facade.

If it doesn't have street appeal for a purchaser, then you'll have the same issues with getting tenants. Not just an Adelaide thing.
