    I think we mean the same thing, big difference between only being able to raise 800mm and going to 9.5m total height.

    I wonder how many raise by re stumping, then go about excavating for a new floor :eek:

    Sounds like a really big hassle to me.
    Could be some serious issues if you excavate in the wrong spot.

    That is what I was getting at, if they suggest excavating, you can see bob the weekend warrior removing what is around each stump....lol

    Hi RPI, my drafty is telling me that I need a DA as soon as I raise and demo the existing stumps.. our house is in character zone (CR1). Does this sound correct? I didn't realise the cost of the DA was so much.. The town planner's fee is $2500 and council wants $2100. A massive whack to our stage 1 budget :oops:
