    Hi Everybody,
Well, I've now been here in Bali a couple of days but to tell you the truth, there's simply too much sun and my skin hates it (or, another way to say it, I hate exposing my skin to that much sunshine!)!

So after Bali i'm just going to come home, but i'll go via Adelaide for 3 days (29-31st Oct) to go check out property over there! :)

I dont have that much leave anyway, i've got a few things I want to manage at work anyway, i'm missing too many volleyball games by being away (and its close to the end of the season), it makes my Airbnbing a little more under my control by coming back earlier and I get to attend a few end of year events on in Sydney...

Plus Melbourne cup day is my birthday and I think it will be much more enjoyable being at work with the fun day there (catered lunch etc) than by being overseas!

Anyway, if any Adelaideans are happy to advise a humble Sydneysider a little bit about your city... i'd love to meet you.
Some time that works for you on 29-30th Oct would be great (or joint househunting on halloween.... 31st)
    Thanks!
    :)

I just randomly searched a few airfares and mis typed a date wrong and found a cheap flight to bali the next day via air asia . So i booked it. Total stay 6 nights. Air fare was 300 return. 50 dollars ingoing tax. 60 per night hotel. Currently 2nd night here.
Loving it. All up probably 1k for a trip alone.massages . Sun. Walks and good food.

Love my life.......well most of it

Whereabouts are you? Yeah... Air Asia only started Sydney-Bali flights a week ago and it was something I just stumbled on too! Ps. I thought today's heat/sunshine was better it was for than the past few days.
Or maybe it was the location I was in or I had acclimatised? IDK...

What? So no Penang nor Phuket? What a shame! Is it the humidity that's bothering you?. Stay in the pool all day and hit the night spots.

Just the sun and warm winds is too intense! But it didnt feel so bad today though, had some good cool breezes today. After about 4.30pm it was quite ok.
Anyway, I can do Phuket and Penang another time... and flights to Bali are unbelieveably easy and cheap...

Staying in Kata Noi in Phuket for 2 weeks end of December and then 6 weeks in/on Ko Samui where we have hired a villa.. Hope it isn't too crazy there as really want to unwind after living in Moscow.. Our Villa is in a quiet part of Lamai.

Sounds like "black henna" ie not real henna, and contains PPD. Nasty stuff.

FWIW, yours doesn't look too bad atm, so hopefully it will just fade. It's essentially a chemical burn.

I have read that once a person becomes sensitised to PPD, there is a slim chance that future contact could cause a much more severe reaction. I'm certainly not trying to alarm you! Just be careful of hair dyes etc. Like I said - slim chance, but just worth being mindful of it.
