Got an email the other day saying "my toilet has a voice of concern"
We took that as meaning that the toilet was making noises. Lol
Or maybe it was just taking Sh.it

    Mmmmm. True story...but still weird.

This was many years ago, but my parents tenanted a semi furnished house to tenants described as little people. Not being size racist...they accepted the tenants.

3 years later, when the tenants gave notice and moved on, my parents found that all the furniture had the legs cut down. And an extra door handle was in every door. The little people were actually dwarfs, and proceeded to modify the house for their living.

My parents were too naive and astounded to do anything. My dad started investing in shares.

But is a funny family story...told over and over.

    Ha.

What would they have done to the kitchen?
My sister is short and does food prep in the sink cause it's a better height for her.

No idea....just remember that the table and chairs had been cut down to size. The legs cut off. My parents were newish to property. They were just virtually astounded.

We had tenants who, soon after they moved in, called to say that "the hot water is leaking into the cold water pipes and we are going to have a really high electricity bill from this so could you please fix it".

Had to explain to them that because the water main for the street runs under the bitumen of the road, that "hot" water is actually as cold a water as is possible in summer.

Is this thread about hilarious tenants that complain or tenant complaints that are hilarious?

I assume that your parents deducted the damage from the bond.

But.... hopefully they didnt get a call from the tenant saying "I'm not Happy!" and then made the unfortunate mistake in a retort consisting of " Yeah? So which one are you?"

Oh clearly it was Grumpy on the phone.....

On a similar note, we had one let to a new Chinese arrival, on getting the place back every door had a new handle at small child's height and holes in every rooms flooring where they had fixed the furniture (what for I do not know, earthquake maybe).

When we got to the agents office they had returned the full bond and gave us blank stares.

The joys of property hey :)

I had one from a new tenant a few years back.

The PM reported the tenant complaint that the AC duct work may be blocked as the air only cools in the main living areas and not bedrooms. I was confused...we had only a split system in the living room area. And no ducts in any room.

Then they asked if we could duct that air to the bedroom/s. We explained the cost would exceed $10,000 and had no plans to replace the split system. We explained that a fan may assist to improve circulation of the cool air down the hallway. They wanted us to buy one.

They were the same tenants who thought we had free solar hot water. The old solar system had failed years earlier and sat on the roof. The electric HWS sat near the back door and wasnt hidden. They wanted us to pay part of the electricity bill. PM told them the property wasnt advertised with solar water.

I got one from a prospective tenant. They want to move into a newly renovated property with just one "small" dog. A bit of digging and it transpires the dog is a puppy and the breed is Mastiff / Great Dane cross!

    Yeah, nah!

Apparently you'd find a lot of them in WalMart.
