I've been remiss in updating this but we are getting to the pointy end and probably 4 weeks from handover.

Units 1 and 2 were ahead of the pack due to the sewer tunnel so they are actually finished with cleaners going through today but they haven't had their hard or soft landscaping done yet. Units 3-6 still have some internal works to do but not very far behind.

This is Units 5 and 6. The doors all have a bright colour to give them some personality.

The study nooks are looking great

I used the same vertically grooved sheeting in the master bedrooms as a feature wall as well

Splashbacks are yet to be installed for units 3-6

Nope not marble, it is one of the engineered stones. This is by Silestone and is a new colour called Pearl Jasmine. It's so new that this is the first install in Perth. Silestone - Pearl Jasmine This one isn't very marbly (well not Statuario like marble) but it does have some nice veining in it

I have a soapstone looking one in the other units which is pretty cool too Silestone - Charcoal Soapstone

The stone mason did a pretty good job book matching up the veins were possible

How does it compare with Laminam, price wise?

Quite a bit cheaper. The 2 colours are Group 3 colours (Silestone have 5) so it's above the bog standard builder colours but not in the PPOR type colour level :)

It's on par with Group 2 from Essa/Quantum/Caesar

$7k supply and install for each units kitchen, laundry and ensuite double vanity.

Please tell me they will straighten the door handles on the kitchen cupboards...
Or is this some kind of new trendy fad which we will all look back on, shake our heads and say "what were we thinking" "We should have listened to Blacky"

There's no handles???? Are you looking at the pieces of masking tape which had the door position numbers on them ?!?!

That's why you need a touch screen to zoom up on these things before you make an ape of the tape :p

No worries. My townhouses have quite a Melbourne vibe - Perth will catch up one day :)

Wow! A great idea to use the vertically-grooved sheeting internally.
