Once we get windows, internal gyprock and kitchens etc it will all feel better. At the moment it's in the scary 'omg the slab is tinyyyyyyyy' stage

I went through that with the ensuite we are building. When it was just lines on the slab it looked tiny. Now it has tiles on all walls it looks huge!

BTW in case anyone is wondering - the man power on this job is a carpenter and an offsider. No scaffolding required at the moment as they got a crane to lift everything onto the upper floor for them to work from there.
I know it's a tiny job but it just seems ridiculously fast compared to what I'm used to in WA.

Council also let you get away with no sediment mesh for the safety fence... lucky you! They came mid way for me and demanded it asap or stop work order would be issued.! Builder almost lost his **** with them.

Haha. I just went pad down on the Cloverdale town house and did the same thing... OMG! It's so small! On the plans, the ensuite is grand. In real life, it's a cupboard!

Out of interest, will the floating floor have any sort of treatment on the underside for fire safety???

( although my understanding is that this would only be required if the carport area was common property )

Correct. The wall between the units where they join is fire rated.

Looking good @Westminster. I don't think it's going to feel cramped inside.

Myf - polished concrete looks great! How much did it come in at $/m2 compared to say engineered timber?

It was cheaper than timber but ever so slightly more expensive than tiling with fairly average tiles.

    Honed Aggregate $145m2

    Honed Grey $110m2

    Exposed Aggregate $98m2

    Exposed Grey $78m2

They ground back the concrete on Wednesday and this is a terrible photo that I took when it was wet from grinding. So mine was about $140 sqm including footings, slab pour, grind, seal and buff.

Week 3 and the Scyon Axon external cladding is on - some of this is grained Axon and will have a grey washed timber stain and the ungrained will be a mixture of Surfmist and Domino. The blueboard will be rendered Surfmist

Windows are in and the polished aggregate concrete floor has been ground back then covered in grout to protect it.

The plumbers and sparky have come and done the wiring and plumbing chase ins.

We are now stuck for awhile still waiting on the sewer tunnel work that is finally due to start towards the end of the month. Then the other slabs can be laid and the joining walls can be fireproofed and clad and the roof done. The colorbond roof can't go on until the unit next door has it's roof trusses on.

But in the meantime the bricklayer (yes there are some bricks!!) will come and build the feature brick column.

Looks great! A pity that sewer tunnel is slowing down the works.

Water Corp should have inspected it on Friday and then the tunnel can go on

@bob shovel looks like a hole with a sewer pipe in it, doesn't it :)
