Hi! I was more of a lurker than a poster on the other forum (may it rest in peace) but hope to contribute more in the future. My property journey began when one day my dad said to me and hubs that we should seriously look at purchasing a house so that we could take advantage of negative gearing and the first home owners grant and save on tax - and so we did. Not knowing much at the time we took the plunge and bought a house and land package and made all the mistakes rookie investors made... and then we found Somersoft. Fast forward to today - we've got a nice little portfolio of IPs, and we're now learning (or trying to!) renovate. For now my immediate aim is to get a granny flat built in one of the properties to help with cashflow. I'll share that journey on this forum too, hopefully it will be of use to some of the members here. Looking forward to the ride!
