Hi everyone. I stumbled across this forum whilst doing some business research. I am very new to property investment, but have experience from a slightly different angle. I started a Jim's Cleaning franchise here in Canberra in 2003. I cleaned (predominantly) houses for 6 years before taking on a regional role, looking after Jim's Cleaning ACT & SNSW, growing the region from 3 franchise owners to now 25. Since 2009 I have also looked after Jim's Carpet Cleaning, Window & Pressure Cleaning, and now also Jim's Blind Cleaning & Repairs. So whilst I don't know a lot about property investment, I do know a little about business and property maintenance. Cheers, Steve
Welcome aboard Steve. I guess the 3 franchisees (mainly yourself) really cleaned up (pardon the pun). It wouldn't be as attractive now that there are 25 - are you still growing the number ?
Hi Tonibell. Yes we are. We have no shortage of work. I could put 5 new franchisees on board in Canberra tomorrow and there'd be enough work for them. We turn away a fair bit of work each month, due to not having enough people to do it! We desperately need people in Wagga, if you know anyone....
