    Hi everyone,

Just signed up recently and thought it was about time I introduced myself.

Having read through some of the threads on the forums I can see there is an abundance of knowledge and I still have a lot to learn.

I currently have a house in Perth which is hopefully due to be rezoned next year (City of Joondalup). This is the only property I have but have been waiting for the rezoning to decide what to do.
The waiting has been both the good and the bad. Bought the property 20 years ago and was told then it was a potential rezoning site. Least now it does not really owe me anything.

Looking forward to learning a lot from the forums on here and apologies in advance if I muck up any replies or quotes etc. Never actively been on a forum before.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Aconis,

Welcome :) 20 years is a long time to wait for rezoning! Fingers crossed it goes through next year and you're not left hanging another 20.

    Hi Jess and thanks,
The rezoning of City of Joondalup has been long but has made me learn patience.

Welcome Adonis. What are your thoughts on your own City ofJoondalup? How much of decline in mining activity affects this area?

    Hi devank,
    Wish I was Adonis.
Joondalup should be ok I hope.
My only concern with the mining industry decline is the number of smaller developments in the top end of the Northern Suburbs and Eastern area.
The areas of Butler and Ellenbrook have had a huge amount of small 3x2s built there. So many were going up at the beginning of the year and a lot are finished and unoccupied.

    Thanks Westminster,
I was an occasional reader of the old Somersoft site. I have read through a lot of your old build threads eg Gwelup and found them very informative.
    Looking forward to seeing more.

    Hi Aconis, and welcome!

Wow, twenty years.... Wasn't it Mick Malthouse who said, the ox is slow, but the plough is patient? (or something along those lines). Let's hope things change for the rezoning soon.

Hi @JenW , it has been slow but finally looks like things are starting to happen. Council apparently confirming rezoning this month.
