Hi everyone, I'm another one that has given up a corporate career to focus more on property, I will shortly be setting up my own real estate agency on the Central Coast of NSW. I'm truly excited by being able to work in an industry I'm really passionate about ... and what a time to be joining! Welcome Matt. What’s your view on investing in central coast? I started looking at CC in 2015 but haven’t pulled a trigger.
Not advice & the obvious disclosure on my business, and disclose the fact I own multiple IPs in the area. Long term I like Central Coast for investment for a few reasons; - yield tends to be better than Sydney - population driving demand, as Sydney-siders relocate to CC for affordability - livability & amenity - hard to find a spot on the CC that isn’t within easy access of beach / waterway - investment: money finally being spent on improving the Gosford foreshore, further improved amenity - jobs growth - eg ATO relocating jobs to Gosford. - infrastructure - joining the M1 to the M2 will cut travel time for drivers - it’s commutable to Sydney - eg ~60 mins by train to Central station, ie, Sydney salaries get spent on owner occupied properties on the CC.
