    Welcome Joe :).

Are you wanting to continue living where you are and buy an investment property? Or buy something to live in (and maybe have friiends share with you?

There are tips and traps (and future implications) with each that you need to understand before choosing.

How much deposit do you have saved? And how much income? These figures will be important to get an idea of how much you could borrow.

    Hi ;)

Get a few years of nursing under your belt and look into agency rural and remote work! Don't get stuck in the city working your butt off for peanuts go earn the big bucks and you'll be able to save and buy more properties :D

Is this the first nurse to the forum? ? Don't let the old biddie Nurses get you down use them as inspiration to retire early! :p

A very successful poster on here spent time nursing with mental patients and targeted doing lots of shifts especially nights for the significant extra pay.

    A means to an end!

I plan on living in a share house with 3 or 4 friends...I have only a part time income but i do have a rather large amount save...I am considering waiting until i have a full time job to support the associated costs.

You can make big $ plus if you're single you'll get free accom in the nurses quarters, plus a paid travel day, plus fuel covered ;) plus you'll probably earn more than a full time NUM and do less hours once you have a few years experience!
Health care Australia are big players but there are more that specialise in rural and remote - CQ Nurse. But depends who wins the contracts
    Good luck!
