Hi, I'm James Bond (yes it's my real name*). I have owned PPORs since I was 19 and finally made the leap into investing when I was 43. Now have 4 IPs across SE Australia and 1 in the UK. Also have a decent sized UK share portfolio. I'm really just winging it with property and shares, I make decisions based on the information I have to hand but also on gut feel (eg the shares may be doing well and pay great dividends but it doesn't feel right buying Imperial Tobacco.....). My financial goal is to retire at 60. This is in 13.5 years. I intend to retire with an income which at worst equals my final salary. I'm still not 100% sure if I'm doing the right things to achieve this but I always feel that doing something is better than doing nothing. JB * note: this part is not true.
Welcome aboard Bond...Jame Bond. Sorry I just had to say that! What you've done so far certainly sounds like you're doing something right. Well done .just keep doing what you've been doing and Im sure you will arrive at 60 a very happy secret agent.
