It's great to catch up on where everyone's at from ss! We've been investing on and off for about 15 yrs. Started by accident after noticing prices climbing in our local area. Bought an otp house and sold it once built after a healthy profit. Did the same a few times. The market then stalled almost overnight and we were left with the last house we bought in that area, we still have it. Luckily interest rates dropped like a stone and we ended up paying the house off and enjoying some cash flow. It's finally now regaining value and getting back to 2007 prices. We've been living and working remote for the last few years and the great pay and conditions helped us to buy and pay off a lot of debt on seven ips and a ppor. We're just about to buy ip number eight and have lvr of less than 50%. We were looking at numbers last night and reckon we have enough from selling off ips every couple of years to live for the next twenty years to indefinitely without working. SS gave me the information, confidence and contacts to do a lot more than we would have otherwise done with our investing journey and the results are clear. We've moved to Vic now. Not enjoying my new job at the moment one bit, but if I can hang on in there the good pay will allow some more acquisitions and paying off of debt. The plan is one year max and then I'd love to just do locums for a few months each year and hang around for the rest of the time exploring and doing not much. Although eight properties to look after will always involve a bit of work. Good to see everyone over here
