Hey everyone my names Tom another one from somersoft!
I'am 24 from newcastle bought my first place at 20 and have
been hooked ever since. After finding somersoft when i was
off work after dislocating/ fracturing my ankle it defiantly
changed the way i think. Ive tried to purchase one place a year
since i started. Portfolio is currently worth 2.5m @ 65% lvr which is
330 p/w positive after costs. Plan is to keep accumulating neutral /
positive places until i hit 5m in assets will then hold until doubles.

Hey tom,

I got hooked on somersoft when I had an accident at work last year in October. I'm still off work now and I have learnt heaps from the forum.

I am yet to purchase an ip because I'm on compo and banks won't lend me money but hope to buy something in November this year.

Thanks brian sounds like we were in a similar position, i tried getting approval whilst i was on income protection but didn't have much luck! i spent every second i had on here and after 4 1/2 months off work i purchased ip4 2 weeks after going back to work then ip5 a month later so hopefully this gives you some hope : )

Thanks Tom. There is hope yet. I'm eager to get started with investing. I am hoping to buy one by the end of the year and then keep buying n the new year.

 

just spend as much time as you can learning on somersoft or here, asks heaps of questions , reach out to fellow members and start getting your team together : )

 

Yea I have been asking heaps of questions and have learnt a lot on somersoft and also went to one of the meet ups in western sydney and met some great people there. I know I will get something soon. I have my areas that I want to buy in. I hope it doesn't move to much before I get a chance to purchase an ip

 

How did you do your injury

 

Fell 6meters when i was putting gutter up at home and landed on the driveway : (

 

Hey Tom, sorry to hear about the injury, but $330/wk sounds like a good start!

 

That's gotta suck. I was on a balcony when it collapsed and fell from the first floor onto the concrete and broke 4 bones in my foot/heel.

Sounds like you scored well with the property to get one that is that much positive cash flow. I would love a property like that.

that sounds horrific hopefully that was while you were at work? I wish I could find 1 property that is that positive! that's from 4 ips
