Why would that make you want to sell? Isn't it a good thing?

No land tax payable, is that a bad thing?

    • What aspects of the building are to be listed?
    • By whom?
    • What level - local/state/national significance?

I'm intrigued to know what block of flats in Hurlstone Park could be classed as a heritage building?

It's a well kept block, but I'm surprised it's going to get listed. Great position - near the station. Also not surrounded by blocks of flats. I'd be keeping it.

Congratulations :D could be good could be bad i guess.

Upside is it might be more desirable in a trendy suburb or where people buy into the area for it's architecture. Sounds like it's in a good location too.

One downside to having heritage listing is you can no longer do exempt development or cdc's. If it's state listed it's another layer of bs on top of that.

Anything and everything is able to be heritage listed. Designed by a late architect? the house where elvis grew up? maybe it's got a heritage tree in it. Call council, ask them for a copy of the heritage inventory report. Has the letter got a contact?
