Another shooting spree at a High School in Florida, USA.
To think that your child could go off to school and not return home...... so sad!
What is the solution to this madness?

We already know the solution. But unfortunately the loonies outnumber the sane.

Nothing will change and this scenario will keep on repeating.

It’s really sad and frightening! Most schools over there have metal detectors that kids have to walk through to enter the premises. How bizarre is that? I hope our society doesn’t go in the same direction. I don’t know what can pull the US back from this kind of thing happening.

The Gun Lobby obviously wields a huge amount of power.
I have to agree, without change the same scenarios will continue to occur.

But apparently, the only way to stop gun violence is more guns. So they tell us. What we we know about curbing random mass shootings?

It would be good if they followed what we did in Australia some years ago... amnesty ... Sadly it will never happen in US

    I can't see one.

American's love their guns and will shoot anyone who tries to take it off them. There's just a huge cultural thing. Most see their right to bear arms as their requirement to bear arms. It's un American not to have at least one.

Apparently gun sales went up a lot during the last administration, when there were threatened restrictions on gun sales. Now sales have gone down to the point where one major manufacturer may be going into chapter 11 administration.

Despite this, there had been a little over one school shooting a week in the last five years - and now 18 this year alone.
Florida is the 18th school shooting in the US this year

I suspect that a majority of Australians support gun control, regardless of our political leanings. The amnesty and buyback in Australia worked well for us. In the US it would only prompt more gun sales.

Oh look, The Regressive Left are using this tragedy to push their agenda. What a surprise.

I just rolled my eyes so hard the retinas detached.

That is not true. If by “there” you are referring to the USA, then this is untrue.
