Hi! I purchased the original building document for the plan of the house. It includes a survey map. There were symbols like "PEG GONE" etc which are not within the drawn boundary of the land. I am not sure if there are boundary issues from the plan as I don't know how to read it. Is there someone/ a surveyor I can PM the diagram to for a quick opinion? I mainly want to know if I need to be concerned as we settle soon, or if the diagram looks pretty standard. Thank a bunch! Caz
"Peg gone" could be as simple as she upped and left him or the peg has been removed. Who prepared the drawing? Probably not a surveyor as they would have reestablished the marking.
@CazMez "a survey map" is a pretty broad term it sounds like you may have a copy of the deposited plan. Surveyors have to report on the plan all marks found to justify our survey definition and prove that the dimensions shown of available land are correct. ie: terms like Peg Gone. RM-Drill Hole & Wing Found. Rock Mark etc are shown and referenced on deposited plans i'm not sure what Queenslanders call a property "Title Identification Survey" but i would discuss with your solicitor if you need a new survey to check for any issues, like encroachments or encumbrances.
