I just had a look on the Terri Scheer website and couldn’t see any reference to an embargo?

Thanks Lindsay_W (by the way, Lindsay is a cool name, actually one of my first cousins name). Thank you for your well wishes, as you can probably appreciate I was a little stressed that this meant that I can't get the finance or the renters in my property. Thank you so much for the positive sentiments, we too are grateful that our bank manager was able to provide both landlord and building & contents insurance. Sigh of relief! Obviously now... you can probably tell from my typing... celebrating with a few glasses of wine that we could get home delivered from a local winery (no touch, no contact). :)
Woo Hoo! I actually feel like I have won to be able to get this insurance at this time.

Absolutely Joynz! I actually called the 1800 804 016 number.... and got the message that it was disconnected before I saw the orange banner! Yes, I called within 'hours' suggested.
I still have no idea how this sits with this insurer ??

Its like a casino doesnt take bets once the ball is put on the wheel.
Buikding & contents are DIRECTLY affceted. An unoccupied dwelling after XX days may not have cover of course

It looks like Elders are able to do some LL insurance too. But they need to make a request to their underwriters. Not 100% sure. But for anyone in this position it might be worth while contacting them if you need LL insurance.
