Hi there! I used to lurk around on the old Somersoft forum and only just migrated across to this one (some things take time....). I've been investing since 2003 in resi property in NSW with a steadily growing portfolio plodding along to an eventual retirement sometime in my future. Husband and I are aiming to be financially independent by 65 (check!) but would like to bring on the financial freedom earlier to break free of the rat race and spend more time with our two girls (2 & 4yrs) and our volunteering. I love these forums that bring like-minded people together where ideas can be shared and pulled apart by those with a bit more experience than the demographic of an average Aussie BBQ .
