    Hi All,

    I thought it was time to take the plunge and post my first thread!

    I stumbled across SS about 8 months ago and read everything, then took the step of signing up to PC when it started.

    I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone, these forums have honestly changed my life. I feel I have learnt so much gold that I couldn't get anywhere else.

    A bit about me... 28, married with 2 young kids, currently looking to purchase my first property which will be an IP (and thanks to you all, the first of MANY).

    I'll post up details when I get there, I can't wait!

    Welcome, Chris! Good to read that you've learned a lot through the forums. They've been a goldmine for me.

    +1 to @Azazel's question and also what sort of budget are you looking at?

    Always like to learn what other investors are up to.

    @The Y-man and @Gibson... thanks for the welcomes, happy to be here.

    @Azazel and @Steven Ryan... Looking at Illawarra and Newcastle regions, approx 400k spend. Undecided re house, townhouse, unit just going to go with whatever numbers stack up best.

    @Steven Ryan its within driving distance of Sydney and significantly cheaper than Sydney, also so I can check the property out before I buy it. Being the first one I would like to be able to have a look at it, future purchases happy to go interstate.
