Hello everyone. I am from Melbourne and had been reading Property chat forums from sometime. I find views expressed in these forums very informative and useful. I have few questions of my own and perhaps, I can also provide my own insight into queries relating to finance/investments, resolving any issues with financial institutions in Australia as I have been working in this field for sometime. Thanks for the welcome guys. Yes I am from Melbourne and in the process of buying a investment property. My budget is around 1 million and I am interested in 600 sqm+ properties, possibly within 15 Kms of Melbourne CBD. So far, I am thinking of Reservoir, Thomastown- Fawkner (pockets of this suburbs anyways). Property prices in these suburbs, like every where else has gone up considerably. However, I want to keep the property for a long term so I think buying at these prices should be fine for me. Part of me also thinks should I be considering townhouses with some land near CBD, but I am not too sure. I would not mind some advice around my views outlined above, including if I should be looking at something else, or some specific properties (I know some members are really good at finding properties with good value).
