    Hi everyone!

New member here looking to get my foot into the property investment market.

    Some background about myself

    - 30, married with a little toddler
    - My wife and I are both working professionals
    - 1x fully owned house in Melbourne, currently renting in Sydney

Truthfully, my wife and I are lost and have no idea where to start in the property market. We've seen so many ads for courses, but also read a lot about mentoring and networking available with the crew here.

We would love to reach out to anyone happy to have a chat to learn about your experiences and hear about any advice that you would have for a newbie pair like us.

Thanks everyone! I look forward to catching up with you!

welcome to PC @Manja, not sure about mentoring on PC, but there are definitely regular meet ups around Sydney. take a look here Networking & Meetups for Sydney meet up.

having a house in Melbourne, there would be a lots accessible equity available to use, you are in a good position, and with 2 professional incomes, there are lots more you can do. :)

Start with what you want life to be like in 5 years. Property Chat forum is a good start to learn and also check out the previous Somersoft forums (now archived but still available) for wealth of knowledge

Sounds like you have already made a great start already.
No need for courses or mentoring. :D

I could mentor you for 12k, or you could just spend $2-300 on some foundational books plus use the forum for the massive amounts of information it has and wealth of knowledge from others.

    I know what I would choose.....the 12k!! :p

    :)

    Why is the biggest challenge

Once u have the why sorted the how becomes a lot simpler, because you can then do a risk analysis as to what you are willing to do do or not

Then it's easier to forumslte a strategy .

Agree. The more compelling the 'why', the greater the chance of success.
