@Hodor get a copy of Edgar’s Missions Cooking With Kindness and also Hugh Fernley Whittingstalls latest Veg book, River Cottage Much More Veg. We’ve loads of veg & vegan cookbooks but those are standouts.

Also check out Bosh. They’ve a YouTube & Facebook channel have a lot of very easy, very awesome recipes. Their burritos recipe is ridiculously good and so easy!

@Hodor forget the burrito comment, it wasn’t the Bosh one I was thinking of (though theirs does look awesome!). If I can remember the link I’ll post it later, it was brown rice, black beans and roast squash.

Are oreos food? I thought they were made from caramelised reindeer droppings (or so I was told as a kid just so mum didn't need to buy them).

Read the attached from Peter Fitzsimmons which I found interesting, especially if your NY resolution is to take the first step
Quit sugar and booze, lose weight and keep it off

A few posts referred to Paleo and the like. Fundamentally it doesn't sit fully with me to exclude or emphasise one type of food, but I have been reading the Revolutionise your body from the inside out - Clever Guts diet, which is basically the Mediterranean diet with some fermented foods for the guts.

I also like the Great Australian Diet by Dr John Tickell which is based on the diet of the Japanese Okinawan people - very plant based with fish and a touch of meat.
