What if the airlines say not fully vaxxed then no go? Assuming fully vaxxed includes a booster.

Oops, forgot that ATAGI defined fully vaccinated as two doses of an approved vaccine. Definition gets darn weird when a booster is strongly advised as well.

When I'm footing the $10k for flights and accommodation, ATAGI's rules are no longer valid. It's just Jaybean's rules that matter :)

Yep. Make sure you wave goodbye to Mum and Dad as you board. Now they aren't travelling you can afford Business Class at a minimum.

Quite a few articles out there that discuss how Omicron causes less severe illness than previous variants
Omicron variant spike protein shows significantly weaker membrane fusion activity than other variants
Omicron’s lasting mysteries: four questions scientists are racing to answer

Also anecdotally, people i know who got earlier variants, including myself, seem to have been much sicker than the current omicron illnesses (even after vax)

Also, omicron has had a less severe effect on a population which has many more vaccinated people than with previous variants.

Good thing too because it’s gone through all the schools, all the parents, onto people working regular jobs (my Aunty working at Woolies has it, not too much of an issue except she lives with her 94 yo mother and would have to care for her…)
So far my grandmother is testing negative, but I’m worried as my Aunty has it.

Don’t think I bothered answering this earlier . I had the jab , 2nd and booster . Fever with first one for a few days , 2&3 slight sore arm .

    Happy with the result .

When I recently got Covid , the only reason I knew I had it was a weakly positive RAT test . No symptoms at all .

I’ll be happy to have any boosters as recommended .

Ok since you’re a doctor - I’m about to head off to the US. Can I / should I get a 4th shot? I haven’t been keeping up with the current advice.

I’m a vaccine fanboy so bring it!

Are doctors allowed to give the 4th shot to people under 65?

The booster booster booked for first week of May which will be four months and three days after the booster.
