They did a covid antibody test and apparently she had a brilliantly high active immune reaction ... which is the cause of side effects.

    Means she'll have strong immunity

Got the go for the second jab as booked

2nd Pfizer shot was small joint pain and slight headache with a chest discomfort that I believe could have been the fluid around the heart that is common with Pfizer. Avoided doing anything strenuous (as per some overseas countries advice after Pfizer) and was back to normal in 3 days

Multiply zero by anything, and the result is still zero.

Even the neighbour’s husband wanted to know if I was “all good datto?”

I replied “I’m on fire!” He said “you will be if I catch you nosing around my windows again’”. lol

I had my second dose of Sinovac yesterday (3 weeks after 1st). The first one made me super tired for two days, this second one gave me the runs this morning and that's about it.

Probably mentioned this before, but I've now had
    May - Pfizer #1
    June - Pfizer #2
    July - Flu shot
    August - Sinovac #1
    September - Sinovac #2

I'm now more antibody than body.

Had AZ no 1 a 3 weeks ago - sore arm, chills, fever and headache for 1.5 days. Waiting for the day I can get my 2nd and have it done and over with.
Where do you live to get Sinovac?

One of 22 yo son’s friends had vax 10 days ago. He’s normally very fit and healthy.

A couple of nights ago he had chest pains. He has asthma, so had a puffer which didn’t help. Didn’t want to concern his girlfriend, so didn’t say anything, but went to bed thinking I’ll be better in the morning.

Thank Goodness he woke up in the morning, but still had chest pains, went off to Dr - diagnosis- myocarditis!

While it’s important to promote/educate on benefits of vaccination, it’s also important to report/remind that there are possible side effects to be aware of.

When people get these reactions, are they something that goes with time? Or is this myocarditis a permanent problem?

Do you know exactly how long it was between vaccination and onset of symptoms?

Also - do you know whether this was 1st or 2nd dose?

Typically myocarditis symptoms show withing 3-5 days of the 2nd dose (although can also happen after 1st dose) and is much more prevalent in teenage boys (although can also happen in women and in older people too).

    Fortunately the risk is low.

Either way - if you know of young people (especially young men!) getting an mRNA vaccine, make sure they do not delay in seeking medical attention if they feel any kind of chest pain or difficulty breathing in the days following their vaccine.

We've been monitoring the myocarditis issues closely given our 13yo son is about to get his 2nd dose of Pfizer in a couple of weeks.

My understanding is that while more than half of cases of myocarditis do require hospitalisation (which is why it is important to seek medical attention promptly if symptoms occur!), they generally make a full recovery after treatment and rest.

There doesn't seem to be any long term damage from the myocarditis - although it is obviously too early to really tell for sure.

The other thing to be aware of is that the risk of myocarditis from getting COVID itself is significantly higher than from the vaccines!! So it is worth getting the vaccine even with the (low) risks there.

Advice from the RACGP is for "athletic" teenagers to consider avoiding strenuous activity for up to 5 days after vaccination.

Double jabbed with pfizer... got nothing from the first one, and a headache the day after the second one. Well worth it towards our national effort of reopening.

Here is the most recent data from the TGA about myocarditis after the Pfizer vaccines.

    https://www.tga.gov.au/periodic/covid-19-vaccine-weekly-safety-report-14-10-2021

I've highlighted the two important figures - under 19yos after 1st and 2nd doses.

    upload_2021-10-19_12-47-57.png

While the rate of myocarditis is definitely higher in teenage boys - the overall rate is very low.

It is also very important to note that myocarditis can occur from numerous sources - there are plenty of non-COVID viral infections which have myocarditis as a potential outcome. The data above includes all cases of myocarditis - not just those relating to vaccination, so the actual number of vaccine caused myocarditis may be lower than that indicated.

Also, as previously mentioned COVID itself can cause myocarditis!!!!

Personally I know of 3 young man that are going through similar adverse reactions.
One around 30 year old male emailed me that was twice hospitalized and three weeks after first injection still feels his heart palpitates so hard as if it wants to come out his chest (one of our clients from VIC).
Another 26 year old in QLD, works with my niece, after first injection was hospitalized and diagnosed with myocarditis.
Another in NSW 27 year old twice in hospital with myocarditis.
I am not a doctor but from research I doubt there's mild myocarditis, as that's heart inflammation which can cause scarring, a scare in the heart cannot be reversed.
A friend's 72 year old had severe headaches and collapsed after second injection, luckily ambulance arrived quite quickly.
Another two ladies in their 50 and 60 in QLD, family's friends, also were hospitalized.
    Perhaps I know too many?
Yes we can all say it is coincidence and no correlation as most will suggest, but since when all governments around the world become so concerned about our health in this point in history in time, and also only about one illness?
I have no answers...and I am sure I will be attacked for stating this or it will be removed, right?

The week after I had my first AZ I felt really tired, not sure if it was related, but quite coincidental. No problem with the second.

I know one 65 yo woman who had a very strong reaction to her first AZ - ended up blacking out that evening and waking up in hospital. She still got a second dose though.
